    Hi everyone,

I remember hearing on the news a while back that there is somewhere online where you can read & leave reviews of GP's in the UK - does anyone know what its called please? I really want to change my doctor.

    Many thanks,
    Jane,

Is there nobody local you can get first hand advice from? We've ben contemplating changing Docs for some time(distance being the issue) I've found asking people I know about their experiences far more useful than feedback on a computer...maybe I'm too cynical but I'd be concerned that people with a complaint are more likely to leave feedback than those that are happy with their "service".Just an idea.

I'd definitly trust people I knew's advice far more than a web site. Not used the doc one but the reviews of restaurants I've been to seem to often be quite different to mine and my friend's oppinion. The best thing to do first if you can is to simply visit another doc at your existing practice, my mum did that the other month and struck gold and now just asks for her instead and hasn't needed to formally change. Not an option if you're at a single doc practice but most have some choice.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

The problem with my current doctor's practice is that there is only one resident (Male) GP and the rest seem to be not even part-timers, just random new doctors everytime you go. Both myself & my husband have had bad experiences with the resident GP - mine being this morning, resulting in me coming home in tears. Hence wanting to change, but you are right - i think first hand reviews will be better, i'll ask around. Thanks guys.
