    Google Chrome

    I have just downloaded chrome and at the moment cannot make head nor tail of it. For a start the spellcheck just tells me I have made a mistake but doesn't correct. That's not a lot of good when you obviously can't spell.
    Who else uses it?

    I use Chrome & love it, I'm at a loss as to what you mean re: spell check.

      If I were to spel somthing rong it highlights the mistake. Where does it give you the correct spelling?

        Chrome is a web browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox etc. That's why I'm confused. Maybe I need help with this one Bren, sorry.

          Just a thought.........are you talking about the squiggly lines under the words when searching?.........if so, when you right click on the word it should give you options as in MS Word.

            I use it too and I don't have a problem. If you right click on the word it will give you a choice of possibles. I am looking to see if it does auto-correct which is what I think you're looking for.

              I think you both have been a great help. When the box opened there were so many options I did not notice the corrected word. Thanks

                and another thing....I use the printer a lot to print selections of recipes etc. There is no 'print selection' option grrrrrrrrrrrr

                    Do you have to select the selection first before it allows you to print any selection [firefox won't let you select print selection until you have selected].....

                    Nightmare sentence; but you get my drift?

                      Ctrl P opens the dialogue but you are unable to tick 'selection'. I have googled their forum and it is just not available. You have to print the whole article...what a waste of ink and paper!!
                      I have returned to Internet Explorer. It suits me

                        That reminds me Zaz.......after all the ravings about Firefox, I decided to download it last night........where are your previous "Favourites" / "Bookmarks" kept. Chrome took them from my ie so I could access them but Firefox didn't ask for that option so I could not find them.

                          Sorry BM - I have no idea - it's been years since I imported any favorites from IE - but you get a bookmarks bar where they all sit under the address pane.

                            BM - when I changed from IE to FF it asked me if I wanted to import my bookmarks, you bet ya sweet butt I do FF matey as I have (had!) tons of the blighters!

                            It brought some across and never gave me the chance to go back and get the rest - I was a little cross, but then I saw it as a clear-out

                            FF has been excellent for me with access to this glorious hallowed forum, I had many problems running my VPN and accessing Vine at the same time through IE

                              if you want your bookmarks from IE
                              go to the file menu
                              select import

                              If you want to get bookmarks from chrome follow the instructions
