  • Going to Italy

Well it is that time of year when we pack up and go. I am hoping to keep in touch with you all from there. Cant wait to see how the vines are after the winter and get planting my veg patch. We do have a very basic camp site (no mod cons) if anyone wants to visit, and plenty of spare gardening gloves

Sounds lovely. Where abouts are you in Italy/ We don't have a tent nor Caravan so fear we won't be able to help out with the gardening.

I used to live in Alife in southern Italy when i was much much younger, i loved riding around on my vespa with no helmet. If i sat on a vespa these days it would probably break....ooops

Echoing everyone else, where in Italy are you going? We've been to the Veneto area and around Naples.

We are in small village near Albisola, near Savona and there is loads of gardening to be done. Thing is I always forget to take before and after photos

*sits in office wondering how long would a drive from northern France to Savona take in my little red number with the lid down, dog's rather large ears flapping in the warm Mediteranean breeze

It is great but we work very hard, probably physically harder than we do here, we both come back as thin as rakes

If you see a short fat bloke with a red soft top car and a large eared hound looking lost, that'll be me.

How long are you going for btw?
