Has anyone else picked up on the fact that all major stores are now going to allow the sale of chicken that have been fed on GM foodstuffs?

Yep. Thank God I keep my own. Any chicken is from organic farm and their chooks eat off the land so am hoping they aren't GM feeding. Will be asking.

Hopefully not the Co-op, we only buy chicken from there because they have higher welfare than most.

T@sco have said that only their organic poultry is guaranteed GM food free (if I remember correctly)

To be fair until relatively recent times chicken was a very expensive meat.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

You don't have to keep meat birds VVG as there are dual purpose breeds. Good old Road Island Reds and Light Sussex are two breeds that are good for meat but also lay about 250-300 eggs a year!Originally posted by VirginVegGrower View Post
