  • Gis a job!!!

Well, I am supprised to have lasted so long but it looks like I will be joining the queue at the job centre in September. No work equalls redundancy.

Suprisingly I am quite upbeat about it, we have coal in the bunker, two freezers full of food and a bit of savings so will last into the new year without resorting to eating dust.

I have a fancy about doing muffins and cup cakes to sell at farmers markets to bring in a bit of dosh. Plus a bit of electrical work on the side.

As Monty said "always look on the bright side of life"

De-dah, de-dah de-dah de-dah. I do hope something turns up for you (if you want it!) We had so much fun when himself was out of work and I was expecting child no. 1. However, we were younger and far more fit (and hopeful) then.

I was in your boat just recently PW and found it liberating but worrying as well. I became "The Butter Meister" in an attempt to bring cash in, like a lot of people I will do anything to survive, and I've no doubt you would be the same.
Best of luck in your quest, and enjoy raiding your freezer.

Sorry to hear that Piglet. My heart goes out to people who are losing their jobs.
But you have many strings to your bow and as one door closes another will open for you.
Good luck and may it all turn out for the best for you.

Sorry to hear your news piglet. I may well be joining you soon so can empathise.
Mind you a bit of time off should be quite fun.
Hope something comes up for you fairly quickly but gives you a chance for a break first.

Every day lately, I've had to tell someone off

I get my own back on Faceache....as Bephlam will tell you.

I was made redundant in march, was given 3 months paid notice so treated it as a long holiday whilst looking for work, theres not a lot out there.

Not great news P.W. but once you have a trade you will always be in demand, if not permanently at least part-time.
Enjoy the time off in your garden and doing your favourite things.
                              Things will get better.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
