  • Getting a bit worried - unusual meteorological phenomenon ?

There was this great big fire ball up in the sky yesterday emitting loads of light. I decided to ignore it because nobody seemed concerned and I thought perhaps it was a government experiment.

Anyway its back again today and is making the place really hot. Has anyone on here noticed it ? Doesn't seem to be controlled at all ... perhaps I should report it to the council, as I would have thought a planning application should have been made for this installation.

I've seen it too, nick, but living here, I'm used to it.
Just relax with a cool drink/icecream and don't worry about it. Probably will have gone by next week.

It's not the ball of fire you need to worry about....it's the ball of white in the night sky!

"In about 65 billion years, it estimated that the Moon may end up colliding with the Earth, "

As far as the big, red, fiery thing is concerned....

"its ultimate fate will be that it collides with the black dwarf Sun due to the decay of its orbit via gravitational radiation in 100 quintillion years"

Plenty of time to get those spuds planted then

Thanks VC I knew I could rely on you for reassurance - actually not joking at this point, I've come in for a bit of a cool off - this meteorological volte face has happened too quickly for my body to catch up with it I think

Bugger, something-else to worry about - I tried updating my E-diary with the moon dates, but the bloody thing seems to lose track after the year 1002018 - cheap modern rubbish ......

Right.....that's it then....I'm volunteering for the rest of today to sit and keep and eye on that's big fireball for everyone.
I promise not to look at it directly of course, but with all this concern, someone needs to watch out for any potential changes

                    ...no need to thank me

Never worry about it if it's natural

We should never worry about it, if it's natural because, we can't escape
and if it's from govt. then there is nothing about to worry.
so in each case just, enjoy your ice-cream in under the bright sky in night and stay happy.

Don't forget to take copious refreshments Nicos, this watching stuff is not as easy as it looks, ( I should know its my favourite activity ). I can recommend ice cold cider as a suitable beverage for the job.

This chicken comes ready roasted! I've retreated indoors to cool down. There's very little shade in the garden until the trees come into leaf. there's a hint of green on the tips of the oak tree branches and the black buds on the ash are appearing. Looks like oak before ash this year.
