  • Get Up and Go has Gone today

It's a beautiful sunny day, there's loads of things I could be doing in the garden and I can't be bothered.

Anyone else feel like this today? I suppose if I got stuck in the mood may just happen.

My get up and go got up and went some time ago and never came back

But you're right, it is such a beautiful day, it would be a shame to waste it. What I do is start with something small and then tend to find it snowballs. Do you have anything that needs repotting for instance? That'll only take 5 minutes, but at least you will have done something.

Lie in the sun and give the garden a good coat of looking at!

Ok, I went and planted out three Crown Prince, 2 Jack O Lantern and 3 Dark Green Courgettes. I've now come in to cool down and have something to drink.

I have 2 benches to paint - that might be a nice relaxing job for today. I will then move on to Sluglobber's suggestion of giving the garden a good coat of looking at - I'm liking that idea.

You can have mine as well, I've done everything I can now... I'll have it back when the OH gets home and moves some compost for me.

I felt like that yesterday, but then I loathe hot weather, it makes me depressed and irritable and that isn't helped by the fact that if you set foot outside everyone is red-faced, yet semi-naked and says; 'Isn't it a beautiful day?' No it isn't, it's bl**dy awful, and it's not made any easier by my complete incomprehension as to why anyone else might enjoy it.
                    Bah, Humbug.
Sitting indoors with the curtains drawn and a fan wafting over a bowl of ice, if it gets any worse I'll play 'Do they know it's Christmas?' repeatedly and pretend it isn't happening

Bladdy fatal that - pub lunch, bootiful day, bootiful babby and LadyW then back to the office - dumb daft...

Me - my get up and go left me at 7am, I dragged myself through all the chores and it it's unlikely to return until my weekend starts tomorrow lunchtime

Yep felt like that yesterday, couldn't be ar*** with anything, just sat and made like a spud on the settee. Been better today and looking forward to getting up the plot tomorrow and sorting out stuff.
