I am in the process of setting up a blacksmiths forge at the top of my garden). I may make myself a Hori hori knife as a little project once I get sorted.:
I have a bought log burner in the house but have made a couple out of old propane bottles in the past.

I would love an anvil for christmas, but will probbly have to bite the bullet and either make one or buy one myself.

I would like some good quality gardening gloves, I bought myself 2 pair last year and one has holes in the fingertips so no use for anything really, even bringing in the turf I end up getting splinters and the likes.
My daughter is getting me a propogator as I dropped the hint to my wife and she took the bait.

I would like a snood for gardening in. Something which could easily be washed. Perfect for spring and autumn gardening

I have mostly bought books for myself (see other thread I started), but listening to GQT the other day I decided to try a gardenia, so a few clicks of the mouse later I have a

Gardenia Jasminoides Kleim's Hardy for Ģ6.39

            and a

Blueberry Vaccinium 'Spartan' 9cm also for Ģ6.39 (seemed churlish no to add in some fruit)

winging their way towards my doorstep :-)

Best gardening gloves I've ever had were a pair of welder's gloves bought from the local agricultural merchants - strong and nice long cuffs.
              Cheers Ant.

I’m giving seeds in homemade seed envelopes to my gardening friend. It’ll be quite a large selection because I’m going to be sharing all of the seeds I get from the seed circles I’m in.
Just in case anyone’s been living under a rock I’m asking santa for building equipment, materials & contents

                    Sounds familiar, nick
I have 80+ packets of seeds of unknown variety from the Chiltern Seeds Bargain basement and 10 2nd hand books, mostly about gardening, from Awesome Books, all in the post now!!
Why let others buy you what they think you'd like, when you can do it so much better yourself.

I have asked Father Christmas for a decent pair of secateurs, a julias rose and a bronze bupleurum plant.

I have already treated myself to seeds, bulbs, other roses and odd books.....ooops!!!

I think a new pair of ski trousers (warm and waterproof) seems like a good idea but the present I would really like would be a bucketful of energy.

I'll just stick with Long Johns and stay out of the rain!

Things that get used or wear out quickly, like canes, twine, wooden sticks for plant labels, gloves, secateurs.

Things to keep like fruit bushes, really nice trowel, wellies, paper pot maker, shed, greenhouse (more expensive items second hand or combine contributions from every member of a large extended family if you have that option)

Manure delivery (with or without your help to shift it)

Stuff for rest breaks like garden chair, flask, camping stove/kettle, parasol

Ģ10 to spend in a seed shop

For giving, you might be able to make things like dibbers, pot tamper, holster for secateurs, seed sowing ruler - browse an exclusive/expensive catalogue for ideas...

If you want ideas for young kids to make for family members, try a tray of paper pots or some handwritten seed labels (supervise carefully with indellible ink!), or a homemade cress growing kit (reuse a plastic container with lid , pop in little compost and cress seeds, apply lid and wrap - then add water after unwrapping)

Brilliant. I have asked for new redcurrant bush. I also want a gardening overall of some description but love many of your ideas... will definitely give seeds and paper pot mākers.
