  • Gardening and cats are off my list!

I hate gardening and I hate cats

My two little darlings, quite apart from using my new veg bed with fresh soil as a litter tray decided to catch a bird (yes, I know it's nature) they ran indoors with the poor thing... more on this later..

I hate gardening because I have just managed to get stabbed by my roses five times and now have a massive gash (lots of blood) on my finger from clearing up and running along a piece of glass I had dug up - I have no one to scream MEDIC to as I do to SD when he is here - I may faint

..I came in to wash bleeding cut and in the bathroom is purple blood - I never knew birds had purple blood

So it's all a bit much - too much poo, too much blood, too much dirt, too much mess, just too much

I shall order concrete - lots of it

We used to have a cat that regularly caught moles and rabbits!
It used to eat the rabbit's head, and just leave the body and ears...gruesome stuff.

      Completely feel for you.

Yup, I'm with Andrea - you need something for pain relief and antiseptic - voddy seems to be good for both

oh yes, and whilst cleaning up and clearing away, I managed to:
            - smack my elbow on the shed door frame - hard
            - drop secateurs on my toes, yes I was wearing boots it caught my shin on way down I was wearing shorts
            - stab myself (yet another cut) whilst pushing down all the trimmings into the compost big

Does your cat have a bell on its collar?

Are you considering concrete booties for the cats? Or chocolate covered kitties?

I know this will be controversial, however.....

I don't think cats should wear collars, let alone with bells on - think about how you would feel with one around your neck constantly tingerlining in your ear. Now tell me that is a good life for a cat! Not to even mention the risk of death to the cat from hanging - I know this is a true risk, it has happened to two friends of mine over the years.

Not something I would put a cat of mine through - doesn't stop me wanting to throttle the little b***ers tho

Nature in all it's glory is both horrid and glorious - but more glorious than horrid.

Yes, I bring the birds into my garden, I spend a fortune on bird seed, all types imaginable, 99% of the time they munch away merrily on the seed and stick their two fingers up at my cats - but three times in the last year, they got caught. If you saw the amount of birds I get in my garden, that isn't bad odds at nature.

They are still horrible little blighters tho - at the moment!!
