  • Garden inspired letter changes

We're used to seeing "Sowing" typed "Sewing".
Today, I speed read an article about "Mulching" as "Munching".

What other words can you "confuse" by changing one letter.

Wonder how many of these "misspellings" are actually a spellchecker trying to guess/predict what you are attempting to write?

You start correctly with "sowi" it then changes it to "sewi" (possibly more common in usage) after which you complete with th "ng" bit.

You actually typed "sowing" system changed it to "sewing" and as it is spelt correct either way there is no indication. Also many default to a US spelling not a UK one.

I used to have trouble adding initials to a document. Mine are BSC, this always got changed to BSc. Another was a configuration package called CVS, that was always changed to CV's. Didn't matter that Ignore Capitals was set, it ignored that aspect - half suspect the system manager caused that to occur, and changed the text.

I'm sure we've done this before, or do I just have déjà vu?

Possibly! We did have a change a letter game/anagram last winter, I think!
