  • Easter plans?

    Just being nosey!!!

    Nothing special planned for us.
Probably a nice bit of pottering and impulse 'stuff'...

Leg of mutton on Easter Sunday , and if we can get to market tomorrow, then 'a nice bit of fish' on Friday (as my granny used to say )

I traditionally make chocolate cornflake nests and a jelly rabbit- but with this dieting lark I'll see what OH wants.

DIY - the wife and offspring are away, so I'm sanding and painting woodwork...
got the upstairs landing carpet up last night and did some initial sanding and filling.

I adore my son, but it is bliss to be able to leave tools where I'm going to need them tomorrow, rather than locking everything away from inquisitive fingers...

We have friends arriving on Saturday until the 4th. She's bringing me new toys for my garden ( from one of the many places that won't deliver here ). Weather depending, hope to have pit roasted lamb on Sunday. The rest we'll make up as we go.

I was supposed to be having a quiet lunch with my dil on Friday and we were discussing it at my daughters last Saturday. My daughter got the wrong end of the stick and thought it meant an Easter family meal. So now I have to rearrange the booking and see whichever other members are turning up. It will be lovely but I would have preferred to cook a family meal at home.

I actually have this horrid feeling of dread that I might have had a conversation that I can’t remember.

^Probably nothing to worry about. Have a nice Easter and enjoy the meal. At least someone else will be cooking and washing up.

As for here, probably more of the same as this week. But later starts to the day and a bit of playtime in the garden. We'll sort out food as we go along. Mr Snoop has gone out today to do the shopping. He's better at that than me but as I'm the cook, I give him a basic list of general ingredients and he takes it from there.

No plans yet but I am sure it will be something family related.
We always do some kind of get together on Easter Sunday.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I'm just looking forward to four straight days off work to get caught up with the house and garden. Shame it's going to be a bit damp, so I suspect the lawn isn't going to get mowed.

I have family fairly nearby, but only saw them very recently so have an excuse to be antisocial.

Church Friday night, then a lazy weekend as all parents are off work, also invited up to our daughters for dinner after church on Sunday
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

                        Easter plans

Well, my plans were to enjoy a bit of time off work, masses of flower and veg seed sowing, tiding up of the garden, bit of landscaping around my new shed. Bit of housework, but not too much. Updating my blog, nice quiet big meal on Sunday, Buy new fancy tv tomorrow. Chilling out and relaxing etc..... however....

We’ve just had a snow alert for my bit of the East Mids, so every thing is wait and see and perhaps just resort to drink.

Carol is working Friday. I plan to get my cycle out and polish it, might even ride it a mile or so.
Saturday, if the weather is nice the first early spuds go in and start a few more seeds.
Sunday if the weather disrupted saturday , then that else visit mums and chil. I have a gig with my band Sunday evening.
Monday, recovery as only mature people can ready for the 4 day week ahead.

Well..........as it's 12 months since we moved here on Saturday........yes I know where's that year gone! And it's our wedding anniversary on monday (now where's those 11 years gone?) We are planning on doing a little pottering in the garden ,weather permitting. I have lots of lovely food and 2 bottles of champers to celebrate too!
