I've done it too, but at the CN Tower in Toronto. Scary stuff. I found it easier to walk out while avoiding looking down, then slowly peeked at what was below.
It was very difficult to walk out on the glass while looking down.
It was even more difficult not to shove away those excited little darlings who were jumping up and down on the glass

There is NO WAY I could possibly walk on those glass floors - I wouldn't be that high to start with. Cronic fear of heights.
As a passenger I have to lift my feet of the car floor if goes over a bridge like the one on the way to Norwich / Ipswitch (cant remember sorry to anyone local)
As a driver it takes all my self control not to put my foot down to get off the bladdy things.

I wouldn't even be able to show that photo to my O.H. he gets terrible vertigo. I've never tried the Blackpool one myself but I think I would just about manage it but only for a second or two!

I was genuinely surprised by how much there is to do in the tower - we spent almost the whole day in there.
Bean was quite happy walking out on the glass with me, but LadyWayne just couldn't do it. It's quite strange as I am the one with the fear of heights, but LW started to get a bit twitchy in the lift on the way up, and was quite keen to get back down again once her boys had their fun.

I've done it at the CN Tower too, I have a photo somewhere looking down thru the glass and my niece, who was about 12 at the time, lying on the glass with the toes of my boots just at the edge of the pic. This sort of glass was on "James May's" 20th century programme they dropped a "Mini" on a sheet of the stuff from 6 feet the mini bounced off.The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.
