  • Do you remember two years ago....

...when we were on way to new posting in Bedfordshire and I hooked up with an RAF Officer and we planned to set in place some allotments here on camp?

Well - after many millions of meetings (for him) and chats over coffee (with me) in the 'naafi' and me drumming up interest and printing out masses of flyers and delivering said flyers......

The fence is going up on first week of MARCH - whoooodoublesomersaultswhooop we have dug the first spade and the soil is good!!!

More coffee to be drunk tomorrow to discuss the next step!

One has to question how they are so ready and prepared to scoot around the world 'fighting the cause' so quickly yet take two years (almost) to hand over some spare land to grow veg

Yay! Well done! Bet it will prove really popular! Will you be able to post photos - or would that constitute a Breach of National Security???

Well done! (of course next thing will be you get moved again as soon as it's really sorted and your own plot established... that is how these things go!)

                        Excellent!! Well done you!

I remember my mother establishing a really good veg bed in our last quarter at Shortstown. Everything was growing great guns and we had to leave it. But maybe, in the Forces, you can at least leave a ready made plot to a very appreciative incoming family. Will you have to do a March out?
