  • "Designer" stubble!!!????

My husband, a nonagenarian (just) can be lazy when it comes to shaving. I hate to see and, even worse, feel his whiskers against my skin. If we are in the dark when I feel it I have horrific visions of Jeremy Corbin or Steptoe's dad and recoil.
He can't see why I find his stubble so revolting. Gentlemen enlighten me. Why would you choose this disgusting fashion? I like clean shaven men. I don't object to beards. But stubble/sandpaper around the chops? NO!
And all the old men I see on TV with this are REVOLTING. Just think : Alan Sugar, Jeremy Corbin, Steptoe's dad.
And ladies.....do you agree with me?

As a man who has a beard for the last 3-4 years, I groom it once a week trimming it and shaving my neck, and my cheeks, my beard follows my jawline it is not a big bush beard. For the previous 10 years I was clean shaven, not shaving on a Friday morning or at the weekend unless we were going out somewhere that needed me to dress up. I must say that there is a comfortable feeling just rubbing your jawline and feeling stubble or beard hair. Prior to the clean shave I had a moustache and over the years I had side burns depending on trends. When I look at my wedding photo back in 1980, I had a moustache and sideburns that grew out to the side of the moustache. If you follow Rugby think Maxime Medard from France.

I think you should embrace your husbands individuality, think of all those good looking celebrities like Tom Cruise ..... they all grow stubble

                    I'll second that

If I am just lounging around then I don't shave but always when going out. I spent a lifetime shaving every morning

Last time I had a shave was in 1971...…………………………………...I do now however trim with an electrickery trimmer now and again. If I had a shave in the morning, I needed another by tea time, so gave up and have had a beard since.
