I have a Reebok CT which is a chunky bit of kit - in working order, except for the display.

When we moved and took it apart, the cable that gives you the read-outs got severed - I've never bothered to try and fix it because it works fine apart from the read-outs.

I'm about to buy a new one and am loathe to send my current CT to the trip - as it still works. How/where would you send the old one to?

I don't want any money for it, I want to give it a new home.

    Any ideas?

That should read 'tip' not 'trip'!

I agree, Freecycle, or you might find a 'For Sale/Swap' group on Facebook for your nearest town, which you could join and offer it for free on there?

I saw the thread title and had vision's of the trainer guy in his gym kit throwing a tantrum

Because it doesn't give me feedback and I can afford to change it

Ask your neighbours first - less far for it to go.
                    Freecycle is easiest.
But make sure they bring tools to dismantle it to go in a car or bring a van.

I've never found Freecycle to be easy - but I guess it's the best option.
