I just got my first wage slip of the new financial year and am £27 worse off than the one I got last week.

My pay is PAYE and does fluctuate a few pence every week to be fair, but to lose £27 a week is a bit painful, over £108 a month or £1224 a year.

    Has anybody else been stiffed?

I can't count fast enough - my money goes in, and then it's out again quicker than I can count it.

For some reason my tax, the NI hike has not hit yet. The tax code is the same as last year as the allowances have not gone up this year and as I am PAYE cannot understand why.

No doubt it will come out in the wash.

"From those according to ability, to those according to need."

All fun and games when you're the one with someone else's hands in your pockets...

...even more so when your ability hasn't increased any and yet the "from" goes up.
