I thought you were talking about Christmas bulbs as-in Christmas lights.
Was going to rebuke you for getting festive way too early...that's only allowed in Stoke-on-Trent!

You should try Googling "Blue Tits", see what that comes up with!

Bought some bulbs last weekend but not got around to planting them up yet. Hopefully this weekend..............

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Oh no, not Christmas! Still, it wouldn't be the same without the Hyacinths, so I suppose I'd better go shopping. Does anyone know where you can buy those carafe style Hyacinth vases? So much easier than mucking about with compost and moss. I had some but over the years they've been broken.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I think the garden centres sometimes sell them next to the bulbs?!

Any other things to do for Christmas bulbs apart from hyacinths?

I was thinking of narcissi (the small ones). Am going to ask in the GC as our local one is really helpful.

Unfortunately, whilst none of my friends or family can be satisfied with a homemade pressie - they'd be nice and polite whilst wondering where their Jo Malone candle/Jack Wills sweater is - I am going to grow some bulbs in nice tubs as visiting gifts for Christmas.

We tend to always buy flowers if visiting someone and it will be nice and waaay cheaper to hand over a lovely pot of growing hyacinths or something. Great idea!

I found some dessert bowls in wilkos today sort of square shaped and I think they will be good for bulbs. They sold them in white, black and red. Only £1.50 each.

I am also going to do some raking of all the moss in the lawn to put on top of the pots for the professional finish
