  • Cass :(

My poor darling girl has to go into hospital tomorrow to get her paw cut open

It is very swollen and pussy (no giggling at the back) and hasn't responded to anti-biotics - it is a mess and I'm a tad worried

Awwww, poor Cass Sounds like there might be something still in there? I'm sure the vets will get it cleared out and healing soonest Trouble with paws is that all sort of muck can get in them and so easy to get infected.

Elvis, our old cat, had to have similar done in his middle-age, and he healed up fine after they cleaned him up

I am sure all will go well tomorrow and you will soon have her back with you. They are a reel worry when they are unwell but worth it. Best wishes to you both

I'm sure it will be fine. And she'll feel much better and have less pain afterwards.

{{{Hugs}}} in the meantime for you both.

A pal has just told me she puts garlic in her cat's food after surgery or any such infection - being a natural healing property!

eeeewww, it's bad enough with tuna breath

It's pretty hard going here at the moment cos Cleo is fine and I'm trying to let one in and out and feed one and not the other - Cass is sulking big time.

A reminder of the darlings - this is the poorly girl

and the white one on top is the one going in and out and eating and laughing at her poorly sister

That's a super pic of the two of them Piskie. Hope all goes well tomorrow. It does indeed sound like there is a bit of thorn or something stuck in there causing the trouble. If you are a believer in natural remedies, Bach's rescue remedy is always good to have on hand (for you tomorrow and Cass afterwards)

Give her a hug from me....she must feel uncomfortable having to walk on her poorly paw.
....and here's a hug for you-cos you're already worried and will be even more so until she's safely back home with you xx

That's the odd thing Nicos - she is running, walking playing with Sis, fighting with no probs, it started as a puncture hole under the pad, then anti-bios saw it squiting forth (eewwww sorry) from the top between her toes.

It is a large area on the top and they want to cut in to make sure nothing is trapped and then take a sample.

She is, currently, giving me a real hard time cos I can't feed her and we can't go til 0730hrs.

Best wishes for the little puddy and a speedy recovery. Chilli is back to the vets in the morning for a check up on his near death experience.
