Oh thanks Piskie - I've been wanting to say it but didn't dare. I've been up and watered the greenhouse, and the toms need tying in again but it's too bladdy hot at the mo. I'm lurking in the shade finding things to do. It's even too hot to sit in the garden under the apple tree.

One way I keep cool is by putting a wet flannel into a plastic bag and bung it in the freezer - sooo lovely to slap that around the back of your neck ....but maybe not better than Nicos' lollie

                        It's too hot for work!
If I could sit around in the shade all day I'd be happy enough, but working in the current temperatures is too much!
I prefer cold anyway, because it is easier to warm up in cold conditions than to cool off in hot ones!

Couldn't be bothered to watch the footie sunday afternoon so pottered about in the garden but forgot to take my rings off. Now I've got stripy fingers - could be dirt though!
