  • Broad beans or Jerusalem artichokes.

most of us can tell the difference but apparently not Anne Swithinbank. Page 15 of the new GYO magazine. I'm not certain that it's artichokes she is holding but I'm stone wall certain that it isn't broad beans.

It must be the JA's that are mentioned at the bottom of the page, beneath the paragraph about growing garlic (the one with the JA photo alongside it). The garlic photo is above it alongside the lettuce information.

While you're here and have the magazine, have you been able to spot the "100 crops to start now" on the front cover?

You mean the JA's at the bottom of the page to the right of the beige line which separates the Broad Bean article from the Seasonal eating feature where there is already a pic of JA's? Their pics are all over the place.

Nope. Haven't got as far as looking for the 100 crops to start now. It's snowing out there .

Safe to assume it's not in the magazine??

I've no idea about the 100 crops - I reached about 15 and gave up. Think it must be 10 types of BB, 10 tomatoes, 10 peppers etc......
