  • Blinking spiders!!

I just went to get something out of my shed and the ratbags have strung up a 'catch-a-human' trap! I am now picking cobwebs and spiders out of my hair

Why the hell can't they use coloured thread?!!

Because then you'd see it and the spiders wouldn't have as much fun...silly.

Yesterday was money spider day in these parts. Millions of the damm things floating in the air.

Think I'd rather be inundated with harvest flies as money spiders. Anyway, the rain came and washed them all away today!

This time of the year I go into the shed and greenhouse armed with a small bamboo cane to clear away the spider webs. I don't mind spiders, but I hate the feel of the webs stuck all around your face.

I'm the same Rustylady. I had to 'carve' my way through some enormous webs the other day in someone's garden. The blimming Spiders were all sat in the middles waiting for prey - tough!

Living in the country you have to learn to share your house with all manner of little critters but I do wish the money spiders would do what they are supposed to do and spin me some cash.

I agree Piskie, I have a number of resident spiders in my greenhouse. I don't see why they have to keep making web doors!

I don't like demolishing webs, I try to hook the guy ropes over something out of my way. I'm not arachnophobic but I do have to remind myself that they scoff flies as a coping mechanism (for me, not the spideys).

I love to see webs when there are dew drops or a frost on them. So glitteringly intricate

Imagine if you were 6ft 7 how many webs you would catch when you go into your shed.... Especially given that you are actually taller than your shed and have to stoop when inside.

I have tonnes of them in the shed, and there's a very intricate web sculpture in my mini greenhouse that I have to navigate around.

certainly better than seeing them with my hairspray on them
