Just like to tell everyone about the best chocolates in belgium. i have visited the country many times over last 8 years tried many different companies and have found what i think is the best. Leonidas chocolates. hand made with fresh cream and butter and a vast seletion of flavours ( real belgium chocolates dont all taste the same ) brugge has 3 of there shops in the centre and they now have a shop in uk around victoria bus station london as well as all over the continent.
Do try the coffee, pineapple, strawberry, banana, and pitstachio creams
champagne truffels - pralines - choc covered orange peel alcohol flavoured chocs.
p.s they freeze well still good at 6 months. i buy a few extra freeze to prolong the pleasure.

    Are you a Leonidas Rep?
I'll pass ... we're all on diets up here. Mind you, I am going through Victoria on Saturday ...

      belgien chocolates

not a rep just made redundant from a bank they sent my job to other end of country to save money. The choc just so good had to share, was on a diet but just had a easter half kilo box now empty between me hubby and daughter my garden was to burn it off as i have 70 strawberry plants 40 raspberry canes and 23 fruit bushes to plant without what i planted already rhubarb ect but broken 3 ribs so im now delegating to family and friends planting jobs im now depressed as i was looking forward to doing it, oh well il find a way.
i only recommend what is worth it, and if ive tried it my self. anyway the leonidas shop is in the victoria shopping centre nearly oppersite the bus station buckinghamshire road i think they do different sized boxes how goods your will power! make good pressies to just got my friend some. my dad started me off with them and hes diabetic. ps i am a chocoholic so explains my thread.
happy eating if you have no will power and temptation happens
a little of what you fancy does you good!

the world is so cruel at times, to deny someone the pleasure of chocolate is beyond unfair.
          hope you have an alternative!

My local one (unfortunately only too close to the office!!) tempted me yesterday. I went for my usual (a large bag of orangettes for me and OH to share and a few single pieces of choc individually wrapped for the toddler) and they were trying to get rid of the miniature easter eggs that weren't sold. So I was GIVEN a free sample of these - a bag as large as my orangettes!! I won't need to go again for a month.......

We had a class trip to Brugges last autumn and had a few hours free on the first afternoon so strolled the length of the main street to the train station sampling lots of shops en route. Just the quality control checks for when we purchased for bringing home the following day!!! There were just too many to choose from so we needed to test them all - the boys ended up just finding a pub to wait for the girls!!

enjoy your trip to london dont know what the costs are uk similar to belgium i think 1 kilo cost about £14 in belgium far cheaper and better than thorntons. box sizes start from 250 grams i think price is about £4 ish my hubby says i rather have them than a diamond ring and hes right.
what to save on a sinking ship him or the box of chocolates oh discisions discisions
il pick him i have bushes that need planting today and hes bourght me a carrot cakes as im poorly,

oooo...leonidas...I used to live in germany and used to buy them for a treat when I lived there. when I moved my mum would send me them for my birthday prezzie from my cat! anyway...I completely agree, they are absolutely superior, so think, so creamy. i loved the white choc ones in particular. oh now I really want some!!!

I am a major chocoholic too, but I rarely buy 'Belgian' chocolates since I found Chocolate Gifts, Organic Chocolates, Chocolate Bars - Montezuma's Luxury, Handmade / Artisan Chocolates, UK, Organic & British, made in West Sussex and they make some of the best truffles I have ever had
I also love most stuff sold by Buy Chocolate - Luxury Chocolate Gifts from Hotel Chocolat UK, their Easter eggs are amazing and are at Sale prices now (be quick though, they're selling fast )
