I actually have something to show. My oldest brought Talking Ted (white with black spots) home from school having sewed him up in three places I decided to make him a friend. My oldest however (being poorly) has decided she wants to keep Tedwina. It was lovely to see her repeatedly smile for the first time in 20 ish hours, so I shan't fuss.

        Great crafting NG.
Hope your little one is feeling better. So worrying when they are unwell.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I love these threads , fab work NG. I really loved my time with my boys while they were growing up but they were never EVER interested in any arts, crafts, not even Lego ( which I loved) brio, trains, track building (which my OH loved)....cars etc was all off limits. Some kids just like sports - rugby, football, trampoline etc. Thankfully my young niece interests looks much more promising

My recent enamel attempts - hoping to turn them into jewellery pieces...

That little group of rings, cufflinks and tie tack at the front have a Kings Shilling theme to them as they're made from George V shillings dated 1914 (well, the band ring is Half a crown and the ott Crown and a bit ring is Half a crown, a florin and a shilling - all 1914). Right at the back are two more domed shillings back to back which will end up as a tie wire once I've perfected the barbed wire.

The ring right at the back is a repair I've done on an old ring which had split - I cut, re-soldered, resized and gave it the fat tyre look. The other rings are Victorian florins and in the middle a Swiss 2 franc piece (83.4% silver for this one, the rest are all sterling). All done with a plastic hammer and a ring mandrel.

The Brown lump to the right is an Air Ship made from a couple of 1d pieces, a ha'penny, one and a quarter farthings and a Swiss 1/2 Franc - so I can say that it's bronze and silver.

They are brilliant Jay-ell. They all look very tactile
                The airship is very steampunk.

Having a tidy in the big cupboard, I found an old Simplicity pattern for a nightshirt I last made in the 90's, so I thought I'd make another. But I was astounded at the price of polycotton fabric these days ( last time I bought some it was about £3 per metre, now it's 3 times that )

Then I spotted some half price duvet covers in a local store. A pillowslip was included. Enough material for two nightshirts and lots of material left over for £15.

It should have buttons down the front, but I can't be doing with messing about making buttonholes so just sewed up the front.

My niece is getting married at the weekend. I offered them to the groom but the bride said no

My nephew said he'd have a pair so I made another set. Also made a tie pin to go with them.
