  • AARRRGHHH ! Corned beef

I know its not to everybodys taste, but my OH likes corned beef in his packed lunch ! they can fly to the moon, perform brain surgery !: why the hell cant they make a corned beef tin easy to get into !

I cheat,i dont use the key.Instead I use a tin opener and cut of the top and bottom then push the meat out.

When using the tin opener place the wheel on the outside of the lip not the inside this will cut of the entire top/bottom

Keep the tin in the fridge, then when you take off the bottom and pierce the top it is firm enough to slide out in a block

          I love corned beef too

I get the one that comes in plastic packaging.
I was feeling part of the scenery
I walked right out of the machinery
My heart going boom boom boom
"Hey" he said "Grab your things
I've come to take you home."

The little key snapped off after about an inch of turning, so i tried the tin opener and it made a mess of the tin ! not wanting to cut through a main vein with the spikey bits trying to prize it out, i decided cheese was safer !

I get mine off the deli counter. My littlun likes it but can't eat a whole tin so we just get him one slice at a time, once a week.

Corned Beef and Brown sauce sandwich..yummy. I pop mine in hot water for about a minute then when you open it, it just slides out....Simples.

I once mistakingly tried to open a tin of the darned stuff with the key upside down, whilst in a car on a day out, needles to say the key only went part way round. You should have seen me trying to prize the stuff out of the tin with a plastic knife. Butchered wasnt the word for it.

They've now brought out a keyless, easy-open tin. It's a ring pull and I'm not a weedy woman but I can't do it. It takes all Himself's skill and strength to take the top off. Useless!

I've never bought corned beef in a tin, I always get it pre sliced!! (how lazy am I?). I used to love corned beef and branston pickle sarnies - pre-Weight Watchers mind you!
