Yup, 37° in the shade here. Spent all day in the garden but not gardening - just sitting on the terrace reading. Far too hot to work

Nope not like that down here, drizzly and windy but quite humid.

My washing was on the line for 2 hours (inc towels) and dry, I think I may be in a pocket only 4/5 days rain since the snow. Weird...

Very warm here too. Back to sleeping on top of the Duvet. I say sleeping, but it's not really, it's just dozing between the turning over to keep cool bits!

...and there was me thinking it was my age! LOL

Had to go out this morning, 41 when I got into the car to come home about 2.30. It's 8.30 our time here and still too hot (31) to do anything except check the watering system is working fine but as Scarey says, far too hot to do much outside at all tho just putting the finishing touches to designing the interior/size of the new staging for the new greenhouse.

We've had 2 weeks of rain and cool temps (14c), but yesterday was hot & humid (but v.v.windy)

Today we go camping, so rest assured, it will rain.

Nicos, wash your mouth out with savon de Marseilles, the summer isn't anywhere near over yet, few storms due to clear the air and top up the water butts then medium high temperatures until well into October. Us down this way must have a longer late summer season that you up midlanders.

Longer it remains sunny and warm, better the crops and more chance I've got of a result on my tomato experiment.

But I'm looking forwards to autumn and winter, got lots of autumn and winter jobs to do including planting out the hazelnut and elderberry hedge and clearing a bit more of the wood to start planning the new forest garden.
