  • 12 months on.......

So 12 months have passed....WOW where did that time go! I shall report that both myself and MrW are very happy and certainly enjoying a more relaxed way of life. I work 3 days a week and MrW is now settling into retirement like a duck to water! We have been very, very busy renovating the cottage and sorting out the garden so hopefully this summer(if it ever comes!) we'll be able to sit back and enjoy the fruits(and veg) of our labours. So onto piccies, i'll post some so I apologise if I bore anyone!

Both pups love it here,it really is lovely especially out on the marshes you can here a pin drop and we're less than an hour from the most beautiful Sandy beach that goes on for miles. Lots of foraging too, samphire, horseradish, walnuts, sloes, damsons, cherry plums....

Looks wonderful. I envy you especially the foraging.

                Youve used every inch..
I like the wee polytunnel. Any pics of the inside? Do you keep it up all year. I have something similar 3x2 metres waiting to put up. Hoping to grow tomatoes and cucumbers and maybe chillis in the ground in it.

Thank you, we've both sat back and realised what a risk we've taken, but yes weighing everything up we have most definitely made the right decision for us

I know it was a step into the dark Mrs W but I'm so glad that you are both happy in your rural retreat.

We moved from noisy, dirty and dangerous London to a very quiet, safe and pretty village in North Bedfordshire 21 years ago. The differences were, to say the least amazing. Since then we have only moved to rural areas as they have given us everything we (who didn;t know at the time) wanted.
