  • Twin Chamber Tumbling Composter

Spotted this on hotukdeals.co.uk thought I'd share it with you guys.
Gets really good reviews on amazon plus it's free shipping.
It has two chambers each 70 litres. Give the composter a quick spin every couple of days and you should have beautiful compost in 6 to 8 weeks.

    Looks good!
I particularly like the small size to tumble so they are lighter and can be ready at different times.
would they heat up as well being smaller???

    Nice idea!

70 litres is still quite a weight to give a "quick spin"...............

I had one of the big single ones which would have been a brute to turn if full but I just used it with small loads and it worked very well till someone stole it. I mean who steals a big cumbersome compost tumbler?

A thief!, sorry AP just couldnt resist that answer. On a more serious note theft from peoples gardens or infact theft from anywhere gets me angry, if you want, something buy it, or make your own and if you cant, do without
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

I might even invest in one of those, i have never composted before but have wanted to, i tried to make a compost heap but it dried out too much and everything when straw like instead. The chickens get all our scraps normally but i know there are things they do not like.

            Thanks for this

Chickens make the best compost ever IMO. All you need is a rake, shovel & wheelbarrow.

That would take forever, they have 2/3 of an acre of land fenced off just for themselves, but i have a little corner from their dirty bedding.

Identify a small area in which to throw all your discarded veg etc & they'll soon break it down. I get a wheelbarrow load of compost every month.

My husband bought me the composter for christmas. Haven't built it yet but I'll put a photo on once I do.

Just a quick note. Since posting the deal its gone up by £20. Might be worth holding out until it comes down again.

What an understanding husband you have! There aren't many men who'd give their wives a composter for Christmas
Let us know how you get on with it, please.
