  • Skip diving find

A few months back, with the builders blessing, I rescued a load of neoprene backed hardwood floor from a skip and today made a new 8' x 4' compost bay; plus there's enough left over to replace one end of the shed
The wood is 1 inch thick and appears to be solid oak.

Nice bit of carpentry there Mr Bones. I hope you have a very successful compost bin.

              Nice work Mr Bones.
Unfortunately my DIY skills are closer to the Homer BBQ Pit build.

Lovely job there, and a nice find. I'm not above peering into the odd skip myself from time to time.

Wish I could stop reading the title as "Skin Diving find" and expecting to see a box of gold doubloons.

Looks great. On mine, being bit of a worry, add a wire (old cable) across the middle to stop pushing out risk but mine are much lesser quality materials
