So my dad has told me I need a shed for my allotment, and is willing to give me the money if i choose one. I chose a cheapie one from B+M but not purchased it yet. what I am worried about is, that its cheap for a reason. (£160) only a small 4x6 and i feel its an ideal shape for my plot. plus the double doors look good.
my question to you lovely people is, what am I Looking for to find out if its a decent shed? or is there a recommendation for somewhere to purchase one? obviously for as little as possible. this is the cheapest Ive found but no reviews, and the rest are closer to 200 when I'm looking, or have terrible reviews.
I don't want to spend more and find out its the exact same shed haha! if anyone wants to see it, its also on their site

Looks like a bargain to me - £160 is round about the starting price for a 6x4 - though you don't normally get the double doors at that price.
Can you see it on display - might give you a better idea.
Personally I'd probably go for it - perhaps with an eye to adding some extra reinforcement timber if it felt flimsy - but I'm known as a bit of a 'Heath Robinson' fellow on the plot...

I bought a Billy Oh 6x4 shed for my first allotment in 2011,

The shed is not tall the wife is short

I paid the extra (twice as much) for a T&G Pent shed for my second which is much sturdier more headroom and will last longer.

Get what you can afford as long as it keeps the tools dry and gives you somewhere to shelter in the rain it will do the job

        Is this it?

        https://www.bmstores.co.uk/products/...d-4-x-6-320524

        Description is dipped Golden Brown.

Give it a couple coats good preservative before you assemble and put it on blocks to stop water penetration at bottom

              4 x 6 = 1.2m x 1.8m
              Dimensions are 1.29m x 2.03m x 2.10m

So height must be 2.?, so yes, just able to get into it.

Hate to do something on the parade but the image of the 8 x 6 shed is the same as the 6 x 4 shed.

Just saying, if you are happy, fine.

                  Oh No it isn't!!
                  They're both 6'wide but the 8 x 6 is twice as deep.

I'd have a look on freecycle or Facebook groups for free or cheap sheds. In my area, I often see free ones given away. New is nice, but free is nicer!

I agree! I’ve been checking daily for a shed no such luck. For a greenhouse too, must either go fast or no one gives them away near me

If its just for tool storage you could have a Sentry box like this https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/woo...de-jtf-3076507
