  • old prefabricated concrete wall panels

I have a old garage which we want o remove as it comes with asbestos roofing. the garage walls are built using prefabricated concrete wall panels.

has anyone repurposed them to any diy garden or patio projects! OH thinks keeping them would be a hassle than a use. me do not really keen on throwing them away.

They usually contain reinforcing bars, not always but usually.

years ago we got hold of panels from a block of old garages, they did us proud at the time as fence panels, also aprox 5 years ago had some more,we gave these away, and they were used as pathways between growing spaces, could be used as edging by turning it on edge,if you bury part of it.
They are very heavy things, needs 2 strong men,

they are around 1 feet wide and half the height of garrage. and some 2 or 3 inches thick. so may not be very heavy by each. at the moment I am thinking of edging them for perenials where I do not dig often.

seems good idea for using it in paths. only that I haven't yet decided about perm-paths though

I used some for paths many years ago but they were about 5ft long and really heavy, watch your back.

Garage roofs are made of cement bonded asbestos which is less dangerous than other types. Cambridge council offer advice and disposal of small quantities subject to certain regulations.
