HOW TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF METAL POLES ON A BLOWAWAY COLD FRAME,
part of mine has rotted away at some joints, like where two join up,one sliding into the other, last year i put a short lenght of strong cane in and taped it up,but it still no good, this afternoon,DH cut up some larger tubing and slid it snugly over some joints, whilst others had a newer pole cut to fit{we had spare poles from a cheap gazebo doing nothing that were the same diameter}i then taped every joint, even the whelded corners with gafer tape,so it a solid fram again, now fitted with a spare cover,
pic 1 is the frame, pic 1,2 show the shiny new tubing thats sliped over, and then taped up,

    Top stuff lottie.

i used the poles of an old plastic greenhouse to build a frame to cover my Toms that i intend to attach plastic sheeting to that will protect them when the weather gets bad
