You need an electrician. Be safe not dead.

Pretty sure that you're not supposed to do external electrics unless you're qualified these days.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

You have two choices, SWA cable or conduit, both need to be installed by a competent person, ie an electrician as already stated.

Its just going to be a plug on the end, its not being wired into the wall or anything?

You mean an extension lead? If so it needs to be RCD protected

In the interest of safety I believe it is best you seek advice from a professional source. With that in mind I have closed this thread.

Doing the cheeky bit of posting in a closed thread (it's a Mod' privelidge )

The IEE regulation that applies here states that unless you are qualified to test AND certify the work done, it is illegal to work on/connect to any outbuilding, the same ruling applies to any work done (new installation or remedial) on the exterior of a building. &/or in the kitchen, &/or in the bathroom.
Please, please, please, be electrically safe, look for a company who are Part P certified or a sparky who can self certify, either of which will after connection & testing give you a certificate of compliance, without it you will have no legal redress should (heavens forbid) anything untoward happen, without it your household insurance may well be invalid in the affected areas.
