There's no VVS this year, and I for one will miss seeing all the photos of peeps' most proudsome produce. So if you're bursting to show off your massive melons, your purplest plums etc etc (no pun intended), here is the place to do it! Veg, fruit, flowers, preserves, whatever you like!

Here's my favourite harvest this year, back in May.

    MY ONIONS!!!

I had a rubbish crop last year, and I tried harder this year, being careful to thin (I plant sets close then use as they grow) and keep mostly weed free. I watered in the drought and didn't lose ANY to bolting. This is just half the crop, the red onions I only got in yesterday.

This year I will be mostly proud of.....-onions.jpg

I started the year determined to grow more flowers, too, and was delighted that I was harvesting a couple of bunches like these every few days. It's been lovely.

This year I will be mostly proud of.....-flowers.jpg

The beans have also been outrageously good, especially the Cobra.

All in all a very satisfying year!

I've not been photographing my veg this year, but my roots, in particular the carrots and parsnips have been great. Had some good sweetcorn, but not that keen on the lack of flavor, so back to my old variety next year. Tomatoes are plentiful, but again some of them lacking in flavour and my disaster are the butternut squash, huge plants, tons of flowers and the fruits set, then rot and fall off, don't really know what I'm doing with them to be honest. After this wee rant I will take some photies when next picking.

Worst year I’ve ever had for courgettes, they have rotted at the end. I’ve picked hardly any. I was thankful that I planted a stray one in the GH ( :eek yes I know ) but the GH gets watered so I’ve had a great crop from that one - shame I have to scale the plant to access other things!!

Worst year for any outdoor growing really for me ....drought has killed off lots of stuff
