  • Papaya & Native raspberry (Rubus Probus)

Well, these are the only two fruit I have clinging on right now at the tail end of winter. The papaya should start to increase in size over the next few weeks as there's more heat around--this variety is thai, and produces long spherical fruits. with pink flesh and mottled green/yellow skins. The raspberry has a lot of flowers and green berries. Some half-ripe berries, but the birds seem to be beating me to them whenever some ripen. Native raspberry has a stronger flavour than the traditional kind, but is not as productive. When they are ripe they have the appearance of fuzzy, red berets ( see last picture).
