I do come straight in from work to check on them. They are kind of like my children!

Last night I blanched some of the green veg and froze it, hopefully so j can forget about it now and enjoy in the winter :-)

I'm already planning on how to make the most of mine next year, I got them from a friend an try were fairly late in. I may construct a huge netted device seeing as I have less digging to do next year >-<

Should get plenty of black currants and red currants next year from the cuttings I put in this year too :-)

Don't want to rain on your parade Gemski, but it may be a couple of years before you get lots of fruit on your currants. You should get some next year though.

Thanks RL... I have about 8 black currant twigs that are all developing well at the moment, and I know not to prune the red currant back. Basically I'm just hoping to have more soft fruit than 4 strawberries next year ;-)
