Best year for Toms for me - no blight so far - much ripening has already happened. Chillies also.

This may be down to the fact that mid-drought I decided anything else had to make its own choices vis-a-vis life or death and I paid more attention to the two aforementioned crops than is usually the case.

Well, considering I didn't sow anything ahead of time and most of the direct sowings didn't come I'm quite happy with most of what I've got.

Even if hauls like this have meant that my family and friends are no longer speaking to me.

My sweetcorn is the healthiest I can remember, the giant pumpkins are romping away (I fed them lasagne, beef and dumplings, and cake so they're loving the diet) and have decent sized pumpkins on them (really ought to thin but can't figure out which belongs to what).

Oca is healthy and covered the bed.
Sweet potatoes look OK, have to wait until I dig them up though.

Soft fruit - the raspberries and strawberries have been brilliant this year.

    Apples are doing well.

    Blackberries are absolutely smothered.

Outdoor Grapes are turning red (this IS a bit of a worry as that vine was supposed to be a white grape).

I'll have to take some pikkies next time I'm down. No doubt there'll be another haul of courgettes and cucumbers to alienate people with.

^^^ Mrs Balders picked my phone up and took it to work - to be fair we have the same colour / brand phone - a schoolboy error on my part when I bought 'em. She may get back before its dark - though its also tipping it down here so you might be lucky and get a snap of the toms on the kitchen windowsill.

Nice size, just lacking a bit in flavor

The tomato jungle, some have a bit of greenback as they got too hot whilst I was away fishing for 2 weeks

I have had one crumble from the Howgate Wonders, just thinning them a bit.
