  • Vine Weevil treatments.

I have created a little courtyard garden, (that's me being posh for lots of flowers in pots ) and have just found my first vine weevil walking around the kitchen.
What treatments do you use to get rid of this destructive pest?
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs! https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...lies/smile.gif

I watered with tobacco waste soup. Just add a little washing up liquid after soaking the stuff in water over night.
    Drench the soil.

I’ve never used a treatment but I saw an adult indoors on the ceiling a few years ago, leaf notches on the edges of peas & beans that were overwintered,I think they ate a young brussel sprout plant I’d sowed in October a few years ago but I haven’t seen any sign of them since? Maybe hedgehogs or something eats them. I saw you can get nematodes for them to water into pots, they particularly like strawberries in containers.
