  • Name that bird in one

I am really rubbish at deciding which sparrow I have, tree, house or Dunnock. I expect I am the Big Birdwatch nightmare contributor

I keep seeing this/these bird/s at my hedge feeder and thought they might be Dunnock? Any thoughts?

    It's a Female House Sparrow.
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs! https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...lies/smile.gif

Thank you peanut wish I had you when I was doing my Birdwatch

Bit disappointed as I am sure there are dunnocks out there but happy the sparrows have found the nesting material I put out.

Oooh thanks for the picture peanut that is a lot clearer than the leaflet from the RSPB. Maybe I don't have any dunnocks visiting then as I didn't think they had that many markings, birds I have seen are mostly beigy brown with a few streaks over the wings.
