My sister had a grey cockatiel like the left one in your photo.
It screeched and then screeched again as it begged to spend a few minutes with the cover on its cage.
They are much quieter if you give them a marble to incubate.

A grey heron which frequents my garden and my heron alarms.
No idea why it keeps coming back as no fish in pond and I wouldn't restock with the heron about!
I suppose it's the 6 foot wingspan that sets off the cockatiels.

Saw a flock of curlews yesterday on playing fields in the middle of Edinburgh. See them there quite regularly.
