  • How many Courgettes, squashes and cucumbers have you picked in 2019

    Its that time of year, Grapes, when we start our personal running totals of how many courgettes, squashes and cucumbers we pick.

    Only some of mine have bothered to germinate! I will re-sow next week and I have told them all that too. That usually gets them going lol

          Grew 30+ squash plants across x4 varieties.

          All of them other than this one grew normally, no male of female buds forming yet (not developed enough).

          This strange plant is like some super mutant dwarf variety. I've given it it's own dedicated spot on the plot.

              I'm putting my garden squashes and courgettes out this Thursday.
              My allotment squashes need another week or so in their pots yet.
              My cucumbers are finally starting to catch up, after a shaky start, and should be ready to go into their big pots in a week or so.

                Surprisingly I've not got any to count yet I'll definitely be joining in again. Think I might count each individual variety this year. Instead of total harvested from all squash or pumpkin plants.
                It's going to be fun

                  I planted mine out yesterday they were getting a bit large for the pots and I kept on breaking leaves of carrying them about I did cover them over with cloches though last night.
                  Location....East Midlands.

                            Waiting to put my 6 cucs out this weekend, beth alpha, burpless tasty green, mini muncher? (1 of each already in the Green house. )
                            Squash = 3 trombos, 2 Uchiki Kuri, 2 jack be little
                            Courgettes + 2x 1 ball 1x black beauty, 1x midnight 2x griller 2x Chiro di nizza (sp) 2x shooting star. So aiming for some high numbers by the end of the year!

                            Current count:
                            Cucs 0
                            Squash 0
                            Courgettes 2- and they were lovely

                            Would appreciate some recipes for some of these.
