I've grown the walking onions....I think I may have bought them at the RHS Cardiff show when I met VC? ....They aren't as good as the welsh onions imo.
My welsh onions are flowering in the GH...outside ones I'm using. I will be saving seed

I have taken photos, but can’t work out how to post photos here. Is there a guide somewhere, or can someone advise please?

              Hmm.

Harder to attach photos than I expected. Thought I had persuaded babington leeks to attach on here, but apparently not. Does anyone have any even easier to follow guidelines for iPhone?

                    Egyptian walking onions

The heads of the onions are, I think visible, with lots of weeds and last year’s perpetual spinach in the background, and some overwintered garlic encroaching from the right.

The Babingtons Leeks a d Perutil can be harvested by cutting off at ground level. The walking onions aren't ready to harvest the bbils - you should see the fat bulbils individually without the paper sheaf.

When not in flower you can harvest the walking onions in the same way as the others.
