Emptied out my first pot of potatoes today. They were Charlotte, which are mean to be second-earlies, but they were already starting to die off, so I thought I may as well turf them out. I got 1.2kg from two plants in one pot. Not too bad.
I suspect the dark one may actually be the original seed potato. Sometimes they don't shrivel or rot, and actually survive pretty much pristine.Originally posted by Chrissyteacup View PostComment

Last night we went up the plot to tackle the bindweed but came back with 5 strawberries, a handful of raspberries, a mystery other berry and a few redcurrants.Comment

I've got a huge amount of rhubarb to take here at home, but will wait until tomorrow, so I can deal with it straight away.

My first proper pickings of raspberries - a small mushroom punnet. I'm dipping into them as I type and they're gorgeous.
