You can also repair small holes with it just smear a bit on the hole or use on a patch

Silicone is safe to use on polyethylene, and unlike most chemicals it bonds fairly well to it

    polytunnel silicone sealant

Hi, i have a 10m polytunnel and when putting the polythene on we used wooden batons and wrapped the sheeting around few times and screwed it on tight, but we wrapped it around the wrong way and now the is running down and getting in the wrapped up polythene around the wood. so i was wondering if anyone knows if i used silicone sealant to seal it so the water runs straight off would the silicone damage the polythene?

    Thanks
    Paul
