There's polycarbonate at the local store. Waiting for me at reserve and collect. Just asked how much before we go up.Last edited by alldigging; 26-08-2014, 12:18 PM.

You should haggle. I just bought a glazing unit, it was priced at £47, but I said my local store has them in for £15 - the manager (I used to work at the store above) is a right battle axe... but we settled on £20

You know that advert where the harassed Mum reacts to her young son having a tantrum in the supermarket by throwing herself on the floor and having a bigger and better tantrum that he could ever have?
Well that's me.
I want one and I can't find one!
My local B&Q had a 4' x 6' frame for £66 but that was it.

I have the frame in the lilac box.
They had some orange frames at the other B&Q but no polycarbonate packs

Mine was not the verve one, normal BQ in an orangey box. So don't know if I need what you have VC or the panels

So where can you get cheap glazing packs?
Or any glazing for it?Last edited by alldigging; 25-08-2014, 01:52 PM.

An update on the £20 glazing packs and the cheapo GHs.
Its a Palram GH like this one Buy Palram HARMONY 6x8 - SILVER Greenhouse - Polycarbonate and Aluminium Frame from our Aluminium Greenhouses range - Tesco.com
The polycarb is not what I expected but quite flexible, moulded panels. I'm not sure that "normal" twin-wall polycarb would fit it. There were 2 panels missing from my box - which did look as if it had been opened.
Still a bargain

Thanks for the tip - just picked one up from New Malden. Loads of bases and frames (out the back) and one set of glazing still on the shelf. Bargain!
The 6x4s are still £150 down from £229!!

Having unpacked one of these GHs, a couple of things to note:-
The polycarb slides down channels in the frame and is not held in with W clips like a glass GH.
The nuts and bolts are all included and of good quality (so I'm told - 'cos I haven't a clue!!)
Also, I haven't unpacked the polycarb "glazing" pack so don't know what its like. I'm only going to use the end panels, as the roof and sides will be covered in netting.

Might be worth giving the stores a ring to get them to check on stock individually - if it's not too much of a faff for you.
The store was advertising the clearance as 'open to haggling' so I got a tenner off mine. £150-worth of greenhouse for £35. Not bad!
