  • Sarico's Italian Mystery seeds

I wanted to donate some seed but the only problem they are mixed and unlabelled. The reason is that a friend of my got them from Italy from his 93 yrs old mum that passed away. He knows that I grow my veg so when he went in Italy for the funeral he brought this bag to me. They are what his mum grown in her plot since before she died but we don't know if are heritage seeds or not.

They all loose and mixed so you can see that there are pepper seed but could be sweet pepper or chilly. Squash or courgette. Melon or cucumber. Plus they could be different variety as well. I've give some to some plot neighbour and they called them Italian mistery seeds. A bit of fun to find out what are they.

            Here are the mystery seeds

Also, some more of Sarico's Italian tomato, pepper and aubergine seeds - Thank you Sarico

Subject to the usual Seedswap rules (member for more than 3 months & 50+ posts) would anyone like to try a mixed selection of Mystery seeds? There are beans, squashes, melons, corn and some long seeds with a tuft on the end that look like French Marigold seeds.

It would be good to keep these growing in memory of the 93 year old Italian lady who grew them in her garden and rather fun to see what we can grow. Put photos up, identify them........that sort of thing

No swaps required for these - lets just grow them!
Add your name to this thread if you'd like some and we'll sort something out when I know how many want to play.

I would like to grow a few of these seeds VC, if only for the fact that it brought a tear to my eye when you said you would like to grow them in the old lady's memory. I'm sure she'd be over the moon that they will travel so far and wide and not end up in the bin.

I'm glad how many people want to try them. Maybe a bit later for peppers but enough time for sunflower sweetcorn(or maize) and squash.
