  • Edibles (All In) Seed Saving Circle 2020

    New Year, new circle.

Who would like to join in an Edible All In Seed swap this year?
Save seeds from at least 2 varieties of fruit, veg or herbs (not F1 or close relatives), bag them up at the end of the year, post them to me with some stamps (for small parcel excess stamps will be returned) for return postage and your forum name, and grow some luvly veggies and bits from our gardens next year.

All seed families welcome regardless of specific circles. I realise there may actually be sane people on the vine who do not wish for 20+ varieties of tom or chilli (can't think why )

    Anyone interested?
Closes to members on 31st October. Anyone who hasn't said what they have saved by 31st October will be removed from the list. Peeps must meet the vine swap rules by this date.

Feel free to combine your circle seeds with my others circles (inc. those outside this forum) and the VSP.

    Struggling for starter seeds?
I am happy to send some seeds in need of T.L.C. should you need them, however you will need to send an S.A.E.

I’d like to join in again too. Should have a good selection of broad beans this year, got 3 varieties growing already.

I'll join please. At the very least I'll have some tom seeds, and maybe physallis and other bits and bobs.
            Another happy Nutter...

We are really new at saving our own seed, but would like to help if possible.

Myself and my youngest saved her Sweet peas, african marigold, and a radish mish mash for the first time last year. I have grown veg and bedding plants for years with my husband. We have a greenhouse, veg patch, strawberry bed and have been planting soft fruit and some fruit trees as we were lucky enough to buy a derelict house with a good garden.
Anything is possible with the right attitude, a hammer
and a roll of duct tape.

Weeds have mastered the art of survival, if they are not in your way, let them feed bees

Broadbeans cross...so seed saving may not be straight forward with 3 varieties growing.

Ok, I won’t send those then. Lots of other things will be grown as well.

Broad beans are OK if they don't flower at the same time as another BB. Some people stagger their sowings to avoid cross pollination. Its not important if you don't want to save a named variety.

I should be able to contribute some French beans, peas or I might even try saving lettuce.
