There is a 2020 Tomato seed thread, I'/ll close this one to save posts getting lost in the mix.

Same - two plants of Urban’s Delight, and no mega trusses.
not to worry though - I like Gardeners’ Delight!

Growing 2 plants of Urban Delight here in the greenhouse.
They look no different to Gardeners Delight.

I'll be sowing some of those seeds this weekend
I'm growing Gardener's Delight and Urban's Delight side by side. No megatruss on Urban's - shame. Anybody else got success?

Now 4 have germinated, out of 20 or so, but still nothing from the reds. I think there's probably more than 1 variety in this packet with the seeds being so different in size.

Well done on getting some to germinate.
Three out of how many germinated?
Of the other seeds I sowed from the seed circle I had getting on for a hundred percent germination. It was just these that refused to budge!
i won’t take you up on your kind offer to send me some seeds (thank you!) as I’ve still got a large packet of them left (I only threw away the dish of non germinating ones) so I may give it another go next year.
Not going to bother with any more this year.
    cheers!

I've got 3 non-red seeds germinating so far. Nothing from the reds. Would you like me to send you the rest of the packet so you can have another go?

I've sown 20 odd on kitchen roll to see if mine are viable.

Don’t think anything is going to happen with these, TMTT!
As I had such a big packet I sowed about 30 red ones and about 30 “normal” coloured ones on kitchen roll.
no sign of life at all. Shame, was hoping for something different!

I think you’re right TMTT - I sowed a few of the red ones on the surface of a bit of kitchen roll and they have stained the paper pinkish, and are now just the same colour as the other ones in the bag.
Shame - I was imagining some sort of deep, deep, vibrant red tomatoes where even the seeds were bright red!!
    Dimwit that I am!

I have a bag of those Guntur seeds and know absolutely nothing about them either! I did message Elfeda about 6 months ago to ask if they were hybrids but didn't get a reply. The red ones I presume are treated seed.

Very late I know - but excited about growing even more of everything in the lockdown.
    (Keeps me off the streets!!)
Had some seed from Elfeda labelled Guntur India.
Some of these seeds are bright red.
    Anyone know anything about them?
Just feel I ought to try sowing some of the red ones to see what comes up.
