  • Looking for tall red Marigold (tagetes)

    Trying to find a tall red Marigold for flower bunches.
    Bought some last year but they all turned out stripy like “tall scotch Marigold”

    Very nice ...... but not what I wanted.
    Anyone willing to swop or know where I can get some please?

      Thanks for that - was hoping for something a bit taller, bushier and a bit less “weedy”.
      Chiltern seeds have had it but it’s out of stock .
      Hopefully they’ll have it again soon before I decide that
      a) I didn’t want it anyway
      And b) I haven’t got room for it !!!!

        Are you looking for "Tall Scotch marigold" or is that the one that turned out stripy.

            Sorry for the confusion ...... I bought what was supposed to be a tall red Marigold “Cinnabar”, but they turned out to be the striped tall Scotch Marigold. They are very nice , but not what I wanted.
            I think the SR ones that you have tracked down are shorter and sprawlier than the ones I’m looking for, but might give them a go.
