i've just got some tansy to plant near my apple tree(apparently its a good companion plant ).should i plant it straight into the ground or plant in pots ,i'm not surre if its invasive, and what can i use tansy for in cooking any ideas?:

I've been watching that super-sizers go (insert time period here) show on BBC2. Like two weeks ago they were doing restoration & they made a tansy omelette.

Granted, a lot of the show did revolve around the fact that many 1660's English dishes seem unpalatable today... but i think the omelette was one of the few that went down well.
