  • Daffodils.

    Just wanted to say, tidying my dahlia bed this after.I discovered my daffodils are up, about 2 or 3 inches.

    And when your back stops aching,
    And your hands begin to harden.

        Snoop,yes, I googled it and it said it was because of the warm weather...but the ground Is as dry as bone.
        I would have thought it would be because of moisture , strange weather...

          Very odd.

          I wonder if somehow your bulbs gauged the dryness of the ground around them and 'thought' that with the moisture inside, it was now or never.

            Mums primulas are flowering
            I've got hellebores out and pansies have grown from compost bin soil and flowered.

                    Here's my hellebore that is usually pink. Just noticed another has buds too.

                      I just noticed that my wisteria is flowering again for the third time this year.
                      Not spotted any daffs or anything yet but will have a good look …
